The Yellow Works are constructed photographic panoramas from areas around Flaming Gorge, Colorado and Death Valley, California. As with the Copper Works it precedes, the focus of the Yellow Works is the exploration of symmetries but these symmetries emphasize the strong horizon lines that occur when the sky is juxtaposed to the fabricated rock formations. Here, the juxtaposition of sky and manipulated rock formations, is meant to underscore the landscapes majestic and totemic charge. The colour yellow serves both to illuminate and to heal and reflect nature’s irradiating medicinal powers through its powerful light.  These landscapes are meant to stimulate contrasts between shadow, sky, sand and rock formations while exploring the need for equilibrium.

Photographs are produced as Open Editioned Light Jet Prints on Archival Water Colour Paper.
